Buying a branded handbag online in Sri Lanka comes down to one question: can you trust the seller? This page answers that directly — where our products come from, what we guarantee, and just as importantly, what we don't claim.

Our guarantee, in one line

Every product we sell is genuine brand product. If any item you buy from us is ever found not to be authentic, we will refund you in full.

Where our products come from

We source directly from overseas outlet stores operated by the brands themselves — Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Longchamp, Guess, Calvin Klein and Armani. These are the brands' own retail channels, not third-party marketplaces, wholesalers or unidentified suppliers.

Outlet stores price differently from flagship boutiques, and the ranges they carry are not always identical. That is normal for outlet retail worldwide, and it is a large part of why our prices are what they are. We would rather explain that clearly than let you assume otherwise.

What "100% authentic" means here

It means the item was manufactured by the brand and bought through the brand's own retail channel. It is not a replica, not a "mirror" copy, not an unbranded item with a logo added, and not a second.

It does not mean we are connected to the brand in any way. See the section below — that distinction matters, and most sellers gloss over it.

What you receive

  • The original brand tags attached to the item
  • The brand's care booklet, where the brand supplies one
  • The product exactly as pictured and described on the product page

What comes with an item varies by brand and by product type — a wallet is not packaged the same way as a large handbag. If you want to know exactly what a specific item includes before you order, message us and we will tell you.

What we are not claiming

Brands Central is an independent retailer. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an authorised reseller for any of the brands we stock. All brand names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the products we sell.

If a seller in Sri Lanka tells you they are an "authorised dealer" for Coach or Michael Kors, ask them to show you the authorisation. Very few such arrangements exist here.

If you think something isn't right

Contact us. Tell us which item and what specifically concerns you — the stitching, hardware, logo, creed patch, serial code, anything. We will look at it with you.

If the item is found not to be authentic, you get a full refund. We would rather lose a sale than have you keep something you have doubts about.

How to check for yourself

You should not have to take any seller's word for it, including ours. We have written practical, brand-specific checklists so you can inspect what you buy:

How to judge any seller

Apply this to us as readily as to anyone else:

  • Do they state where their stock comes from?
  • Do they publish their prices, or make you ask?
  • Do they use their own photographs of the actual product?
  • Is there a real business behind the page, with working contact details?
  • Is there a published refund policy you can read before you buy?
  • Do they take traceable payments, or only bank transfers?
  • Are they clear about what they are not — or do they imply an official relationship they don't have?

We deliver islandwide, typically within 1–3 business days. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and offer instalments through KOKO, Mintpay and HNB and Commercial Bank credit card plans.

Because we buy from the brands' outlet stores, which price differently from flagship boutiques.

Do products come with tags?

Yes — original brand tags, and the brand's care booklet where one is supplied. Packaging varies by brand and product type.

What happens if I doubt an item after it arrives?

Contact us with the specific concern. If the item is not authentic, we refund you in full.

How do I know what something costs before I ask?

Every price is on the product page, and we publish full price guides by brand. You never have to message us to find out what something costs.
